AMA Certified Medical Assistant - Urgent Care (Per Diem)Yelm, WA $27,399 - $38,199 a yearFull TimeJoin a dynamic urgent care team in the Pacific Northwest region, where you will play a vital role in supporting healthcare providers and ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care. This per-diem Medical Assistant position involves performing patient care duties within the scope of practice, assisting with treatments and procedures, and facilitating smooth clinic operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient care tasks as directed by providers, including taking vital signs and preparing patients for exams.Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring all necessary consents and supplies are in place.Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to state regulations.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.Coordinate referrals and communicate effectively with referral coordinators to ensure timely patient care.Manage exam room supplies, perform daily room checks, and uphold infection control standards.Collaborate with environmental services to maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, to be obtained within 90 days of hire.Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.Proficiency with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office applications.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions and work independently with good judgment.Commitment to teamwork and fostering a positive work environment.This role offers the opportunity to work flexible 12-hour shifts in a supportive setting that values professional growth and patient-centered care.
