AMA-Certified Medical Assistant | Urgent Care PRNJoin a dynamic healthcare team in the Pacific Northwest region as a Medical Assistant supporting urgent care services on a PRN basis during day shifts. This role is essential in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care and ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.Job SummaryAs a vital member of the clinic team, you will perform patient care duties within the scope of your medical assistant license, assist healthcare providers with treatments and procedures, and facilitate smooth patient flow. You will communicate effectively with patients, providers, and coworkers to optimize clinic operations and patient satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform patient care tasks accurately and timely, following providers' orders.Assist with treatments and procedures, ensuring proper consent and preparation.Administer immunizations under provider supervision, adhering to legal guidelines.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records.Coordinate referrals and communicate with referral coordinators to ensure timely processing.Manage exam room supplies, perform daily room checks, and maintain cleanliness in collaboration with environmental services.Demonstrate excellent infection control practices and participate in special projects as assigned.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent required.Graduate of an accredited certified medical assistant program.Licenses and CertificationsCurrent Medical Assistant Certification and Licensure as required by the state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of medical assistant duties and patient care techniques.Proficiency with technology, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to follow instructions and perform independent judgment in a fast-paced environment.Commitment to teamwork, adaptability, and ongoing professional development.Work EnvironmentThis position offers 12-hour shifts within a 40-hour workweek schedule.
