Ambulatory Hospitality Services SpecialistWe are looking for a warm and dedicated Ambulatory Hospitality Services Specialist to join a healthcare facility in the Midwest region. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff alike. You will be part of a supportive team, working in a fast-paced setting where your attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness will directly impact the quality of care provided.ResponsibilitiesClean and sanitize patient rooms, including bed making, linen replacement, and restocking supplies.Perform thorough cleaning tasks such as disinfecting patient areas, washing windows, scrubbing floors, moving furniture, and changing mattresses as needed.Maintain cleanliness in common areas like waiting rooms, lobbies, and hallways.Care for hospital floors, including carpets and entryways, using appropriate cleaning equipment.Operate and maintain floor cleaning machines such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.Follow established cleaning protocols to ensure a safe environment.Replenish supplies in patient rooms and communal spaces as necessary.Respond promptly to urgent cleaning requests from staff and patients.Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to the proper personnel.Adhere strictly to infection control policies to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria.Handle hazardous waste, including sharps and biohazardous materials, following proper disposal procedures.Demonstrate awareness of infection, electrical, steam, chemical, dust, and environmental hazards and take appropriate precautions.Collect and dispose of soiled linens hygienically.Education and ExperienceHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is preferred but not mandatory.RequirementsPhysical stamina and dexterity to perform repetitive tasks and lift loads up to 25 pounds.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Effective time management with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.This position offers competitive pay, opportunities for growth, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to a caring healthcare community dedicated to improving lives.
