This position involves performing daily cleaning duties with attention to detail and adherence to established standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean assigned patient rooms and ancillary areas daily, following specific procedures and guidelines.Maintain cleanliness of assigned office spaces according to policy.Use appropriate cleaning agents for various tasks.Ensure housekeeping carts are locked and stored properly.Keep janitor closets and carts neat, organized, and clean at all times.Complete daily logs accurately and submit them to supervisors.Report any issues related to cleaning, maintenance, equipment, safety, or facility repairs promptly to the appropriate department.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. Willingness to learn additional tasks and duties is important.Experience0-3 months of housekeeping or floor care experience, which can be gained through on-the-job training or previous employment.RequirementsAbility to read, write, and perform basic math.Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.Physical ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.Basic computer skills.Capability to stand and walk for extended periods.Knowledge of safe chemical use and housekeeping equipment operation.Working ConditionsMay encounter unpleasant odors, body fluids, and potential exposure to infectious diseases. Work environment includes exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet or slippery surfaces.
