Ambulatory Housekeeper 1 | Full-TimeJoin a dedicated healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest region, where your role as a Housekeeper 1 is vital to maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and staff. This position involves performing daily cleaning duties with attention to detail and adherence to established standards.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesClean assigned patient rooms and ancillary areas daily, following specific procedures and guidelines.Maintain cleanliness of office spaces according to policy.Use appropriate cleaning agents for assigned tasks.Ensure housekeeping carts are locked and stored properly, keeping janitor closets neat and organized.Complete daily cleaning logs accurately and submit them to supervisors.Report any issues related to cleaning, maintenance, equipment, safety, or facility repairs promptly to the appropriate department.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred. Basic literacy and ability to follow written and verbal instructions are essential. Willingness to learn additional tasks and responsibilities is important.Experience0-3 months of experience in housekeeping or floor care is preferred but not required; on-the-job training is provided.Mental and Physical RequirementsAbility to read, write, and perform basic math.Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.Organizational skills to manage work efficiently.Physical ability to stoop, bend, reach, twist, lift up to 40 pounds, and push carts weighing up to 300 pounds.Basic computer skills.Endurance for long periods of standing and walking.Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and operate housekeeping equipment.Working ConditionsMay encounter unpleasant odors, body fluids, and potential exposure to infectious diseases. Work environment includes exposure to cleaning chemicals and wet or slippery surfaces.
