Amerex - Industrial Maintenance ElectricianPerform tasks to maintain safety standards, increase equipment reliability, preform electrical construction actives at the journey man level and satisfy production needs by ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment safely and properly.Journey man electrical experience.Knowledge of construction codes, proficient at running conduit, build and wiring panels, read electrical drawings.Complete preventive maintenance on equipment and machineryTrouble shoot and repair equipment, machinery, electric controls, panel construction, wiring.Safely modify & install energy control devicesMonitor equipment and operations to meet quality and safety standardsComply with LOTO, Confined Space, Respirator & other applicable training and proceduresFollow diagrams, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions & engineering specsLocates sources of problems by observing equipment in operation; listening for problems; talking to operator or supervisors, manufacturer's manual and using precision measuring and testing equipmentAdjust functional parts of devices and controls.Follow all processes and procedures associated with the Safety Management Program.Perform other duties as assigned.Maintenance, PLC, electrical, welding / fabrication experience a plusMust have 3 years Commercial and or industrial electrical construction experienceExcellent communications and people skillsLegible handwriting, basic computer skills required. Experience with MS Excel a plusTo utilize email and computer-based maintenance softwareRead & understand instructions, drawings and electrical, pneumatics & hydraulic schematicsComplete paperwork accurately and timelySelf-directedAdhere to all safety and environmental rules and regulationsMust provide tools as required to complete job dutiesWillingness to work overtime and schedule changes on short noticeThis position may involve potential exposure to hazardous materials, and environmental changes (heat/cold), and the employee must be able to work under stress occasioned by production requirements, personnel, and the needs of other departments, utilizing proper body mechanics.The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Physical activities required of this job include but are not limited to considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body include climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, standing, stooping, and handling tools and materials.The employee must regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Exerting up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force to frequently lift, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time; however, it may involve walking and standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
