Accredited Medical Assistant - PRN RheumatologyLucan, MN $35,099 - $46,099 a yearJob Type: Full TimeJob Summary: Provide compassionate clinical support and assist in patient care management within a busy rheumatology practice. Responsibilities vary daily based on practice needs, ensuring flexible and responsive patient care.Essential Responsibilities:Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Provide reassurance, education, and clear guidance to patients.Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories and chief complaints accurately.Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation in electronic medical records and accurate billing entries.Support physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management, including sample medication logs and patient consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.Coordinate patient testing, referrals, and follow-up communications, ensuring patients understand physician instructions and treatment plans.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, sterilizing instruments, and adhering to cleaning protocols to ensure a safe and efficient environment.Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.Undertake additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.Work Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pm (Regional healthcare facility in the Midwest)Scheduled Weekly Hours: PRN/Part-time
