Accredited Medical Assistant - RheumatologyLucan, MN $37,099 - $46,099 a yearJob Type: Full TimeJob Summary: Join a compassionate clinical team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care and health management in a dynamic rheumatology practice. Your daily tasks will adapt to the evolving needs of the clinic, ensuring personalized and attentive service.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by ensuring medical records are accurate and up to date. Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly in medical records.Assist physicians with testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings under supervision.Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.Distribute educational materials and ensure patients understand treatment plans and medication usage.Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.Perform additional duties as assigned to support the clinical team.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.Work Shift: 8:00am – 4:30pmLocation: Serving patients in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
