Accredited Medical AssistantTaunton, MN $37,099 - $46,099 a yearJob Type: Full TimeJob Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting. This role involves supporting healthcare providers by managing patient care tasks and ensuring smooth clinical operations tailored to the needs of the practice.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.Respond promptly to patient calls, triage effectively, and offer reassurance along with clear, accurate instructions.Facilitate efficient healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories and chief complaints.Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation in medical records.Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints, dressings, and preparing for minor surgeries or physicals.Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain appropriate referrals and consents for procedures or immunizations.Distribute educational materials and support patient understanding of treatments and medication usage.Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, and verifying that instruments and equipment are sterile and functional.Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities as needed.Education and Experience:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required.Work Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week.This opportunity is located in a welcoming healthcare environment serving the Midwest region of the United States.
