This role adapts daily responsibilities to meet the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring a supportive and efficient healthcare experience.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines, including telephone triage and patient reassurance with clear, accurate education.Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and documenting findings accurately in electronic medical records. Communicate abnormal observations promptly to physicians and ensure patients understand discharge instructions.Support physicians during testing, treatments, minor surgeries, and physical exams by assisting with procedures, managing sample medications, arranging referrals, and handling consents for invasive procedures or immunizations. Provide patient education and follow through on physician orders, including laboratory tests and treatments.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments. Monitor equipment functionality to support a safe and efficient environment.Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the clinical setting.Education and Experience Required:Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing program is essential.Day shift with a 40-hour workweek in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
