AMT Certified Medical AssistantMarietta, MN $37,009 - $46,099 a yearFull TimeJob Summary: This role involves providing direct and delegated patient care within a clinical setting, ensuring patients receive compassionate and accurate healthcare services. The Medical Assistant maintains awareness of normal and abnormal patient parameters to identify those at risk and delivers care aligned with established standards and guidelines.Key Responsibilities:Efficiently manage patient visits by preparing patients for examination, obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory rate, and documenting chief complaints and medical histories.Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation in medical records.Provide patient reassurance, education, and clear instructions regarding physician directives and treatment plans.Assist physicians with testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints and dressings.Manage sample medications and logs, arrange necessary testing or admissions, and obtain appropriate referrals and consents for invasive procedures or immunizations.Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and keeping equipment in working order.Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required.
