Job description
AMT Certified Medical Assistant - PRNJoin a compassionate healthcare team providing clinical support and patient care management in a dynamic outpatient setting. This role adapts daily to meet the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring patients receive attentive and professional care.Essential Responsibilities:Deliver direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk individuals. Provide reassurance, education, and clear guidance to patients.Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery during patient visits by preparing patients for exams, obtaining vital signs, and documenting medical histories and chief complaints accurately.Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to providers, ensuring thorough documentation in electronic medical records and accurate billing entries.Support physicians with testing, treatments, minor procedures, and medication management, including sample medications and logs.Coordinate patient testing, referrals, and follow-up communications, ensuring patients understand discharge instructions and treatment plans.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.Perform laboratory tests and maintain lab logs as prescribed.Carry out additional duties as assigned to support clinical operations.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program.This position offers a part-time, as-needed schedule with typical hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is based in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States.
