This role adapts daily responsibilities based on the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring flexible and responsive support.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting all information in electronic medical records.Observe and communicate any abnormal patient signs or symptoms to the physician, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions.Support physicians during testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications.Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, keeping patients informed.Distribute educational materials and assist patients in understanding treatment plans and medication usage.Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, ensuring cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, and verifying equipment functionality.Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment.Education and Experience Required: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required.Work Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PMThis opportunity is located in a welcoming healthcare setting serving the Midwest region of the United States.
