Job description
Certified Nursing Assistant - Cardiac Progressive CareProvide essential patient care in a cardiac progressive care setting, assisting with admissions, patient orientation, and daily care routines. Monitor and report any changes in patient condition promptly. Maintain cleanliness and stock supplies to ensure a safe and efficient patient environment.Assist patients during admission and orient them to unit routines and equipment.Respond to patient needs directly or by notifying appropriate staff.Support nursing care plans by performing delegated tasks.Ensure patient safety through proper use of equipment and supplies.Manage medication and supply retrieval for patient care.Maintain a clean, well-stocked environment and participate in cost containment efforts.Engage in educational and performance improvement activities.Perform waived testing and maintain required skills per unit competency.Demonstrate commitment to customer satisfaction and efficient patient throughput.High school diploma or equivalent required. Nursing Assistant certification mandatory. Current registration with the appropriate state division of facility services is necessary.No prior experience required; on-the-job training provided.Excellent communication and guest relations skills. Ability to read and write English. Flexibility in work tasks and schedules. Basic computer proficiency. Understanding of age-specific patient care considerations.Ability to work variable shifts with frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and patient turning. Visual and auditory acuity necessary for patient observation. Exposure to blood and body fluids may occur.Certified Nursing Assistant credential from a recognized organization.This position serves a diverse regional population in the Southeastern United States, offering compassionate care within a collaborative healthcare team.
