nLooking to launch your career in finance, public administration, or data analysis? We're seeking an Analyst Assistant to join a growing team that supports local governments and special districts through financial administration, reporting, compliance, and data management.
nThis is an excellent opportunity for an analytical early-career professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and building expertise in public finance, taxation, district administration, and municipal operations. You'll receive hands-on mentorship while gaining exposure to financial analysis, regulatory compliance, client services, and project management.
nWhat You'll Do
nnnSupport the administration of special districts, including financial tracking, reporting, and compliance activities
n
nnAnalyze and maintain large, complex data sets while ensuring accuracy and integrity
n
nnAssist with financial calculations, reconciliations, and reporting for local government clients
n
nnPrepare data and reports for Project Managers and client deliverables
n
nnSupport special tax, assessment, fee, and bond-related administration activities
n
nnAssist with reviewing legal documents, legislative requirements, and regulatory guidelines
n
nnPerform quality control reviews to ensure accurate and complete work products
n
nnUtilize Excel, databases, and reporting tools to analyze and organize information
n
nnParticipate in client meetings and collaborate with internal teams to support project goals
n
nnHelp identify issues, research solutions, and contribute to process improvements
n
nnManage multiple assignments while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
n
n nWhat We're Looking For
n? Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
n? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
n? Experience working with Excel and large data sets
n? Ability to interpret financial information and identify trends or discrepancies
n? Strong organizational and communication skills
n? Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment
n? Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and quality
n? Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
nPreferred Qualifications
n? Experience working with municipalities, government agencies, special districts, or public finance organizations
n? Experience with reporting, reconciliations, or financial analysis
n? Knowledge of SQL, Tableau, GIS mapping tools, or database management systems
n? Experience with public administration, taxation, assessments, or government-related financial programs
n? Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and reporting functions

nThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Temecula, CA.
nPay and Benefits
nThe pay range for this position is $28.85 - $28.85/hr.
nIndividual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
