nSummary

nCHS is hiring an Experienced Credit Analyst to join its finance team. The Experienced Credit Analyst will evaluate customer creditworthiness, manage assigned credit portfolios and make recommendations that help protect CHS from financial risk while supporting business growth. This role partners closely with customers and internal business teams to establish appropriate credit terms, monitor account balances, negotiate collateral requirements and resolve moderately complex credit matters. The ideal candidate brings strong financial analysis, sound judgment, negotiation skills and a customer-focused approach.

nThis is a hybrid position based in Mitchell, SD.

nResponsibilities

nnnManage third party financing activity, including applications, advances, and payments for internal and external lenders.

n

nnPerform pre-sale credit risk evaluations on new customers, with emphasis on financial statement analysis as well as evaluation of data obtained from bank and trade references.

n

nnConduct financial credit evaluations on assigned portfolios of customers, identifying key risk elements for each account, assign risk ratings and recommend appropriate action to reduce risk to CHS when warranted.

n

nnApprove credit line amounts within assigned authority level.

n

nnManage customer account balances to their approved credit line amounts.

n

nnNegotiate collateralsecurity requirements with customers.

n

nnCoordinate with the Collections and the Legal departments on delinquent accounts in order to optimize CHS cash flow.

n

nnCritically and logically evaluate the costs, risks and benefits of alternative actions before making decisions.

n

nnResolve moderately complex credit problems and confer with management on highly sensitive accounts.

n

nnParticipate in special projects enhancing the department effectiveness by leveraging technology and the integration of Accounts Receivable portfolio with risk assessment tools.

n

nnMaintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.

nnPerform other responsibilities as needed or assigned.

n

n nMinimum Qualifications (required)

nnnHigh School diploma or GED

n

nn2+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting and/or Credit

n

n nAdditional Qualifications

nnnProficient in MS Office suite

n

nnStrong critical thinking, financial analysis and decision making skills

n

nnStrong negotiation and communication skills, both verbal and written

n

nnDemonstrated ability to collaborate with business partners, build and maintain positive customer relationships, and provide excellent customer service

n

nnBachelor's degree preferred in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics, Business, Business Administration, or related field

Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
