Job description
Anesthesia TechnicianTo operate as part of the anesthesia team by assisting the anesthesiologist and the CRNA in the administration and maintenance of general and regional anesthesia, by maintaining, calibrating, and troubleshooting various equipment needs, and by stocking and maintaining par levels of all anesthesia supplies.Job Expectations:Facilitates OR room turnover for anesthesia and operating roomsPerforms cleanup of ORReadies OR for next patientProperly cares for equipment and takes action for preventive maintenanceProcures equipmentTransports specimens and blood productsMaintains Inventory ControlOrders and track suppliesMonitors arrival of back ordersReturns incorrect or damaged ordersRestocks department with suppliesMakes rounds to keep current inventory in stockOrganization Expectations, as applicable:Demonstrates ability to provide care or service adjusting approaches to reflect developmental level and cultural differences of population served.Partners with patient care giver in care/decision making.Communicates in a respective manner.Ensures a safe, secure environment.Individualizes plan of care to meet patient needs.Modifies clinical interventions based on population served.Provides patient education based on as assessment of learning needs of patient/care giver.Fulfills all organizational requirements.Completes all required learning relevant to the role.Complies with and maintains knowledge of all relevant laws, regulation, policies, procedures and standards.Fosters a culture of improvement, efficiency and innovative thinking.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:License/Certification/RegistrationBasic Life Support (BLS)Preferred Qualifications:Experience1 year of health or patient care related experience with 6 months experience in an operating room.License/Certification/RegistrationNursing Assistant RegistrationBenefit OverviewFairview offers a generous benefits package, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, PTO/vacation and Safe and Sick Time, tuition reimbursement, retirement and more!
