nPosition Overview:
nResponsible for the set up and calibration of anesthesia equipment and supplies needed for each operation or procedure. Supports the functionality of the department by distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety to help deliver optimal patient care.

nnnEquivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma

nnOther: Completion of an Anesthesia Technician Course
n
n nCERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
nnBLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
n nTYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
nn1 year recent relevant experience.
n nSKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
nnnGeneral knowledge of anesthesia related tools, procedures, views, and equipment.
n
nnAbility to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
n
nnBasic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
n
nnWell-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
n
nnGeneral knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).
n
nnMaintains all anesthesia equipment including ventilators, intubation scopes, laryngoscopes, and physiologic monitors.
n
nnPrioritize assignments and work within standardized policies, procedures, and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
n
nnWork independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions.
n
nnIdentify, evaluate and resolve standard problems by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
n
nnBuild collaborative relationships with peers and other healthcare providers to achieve departmental and corporate objectives.
n
nnIntegrates education, technical competence and patient interaction skills to gain confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers.

nPay Range is $58.66 to $64.60 / hour
nThe compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
