nResponsibilities
nThe Anesthesia Technician supports the anesthesia team by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of anesthesia services in the operating room. This role involves assisting anesthesiologists with patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures, adhering to strict safety and sterilization protocols. The Anesthesia Technician plays a critical role in maintaining patient safety and comfort, contributing to the overall success of surgical operations.
nnnAssist Anesthesia Providers: Collaborate closely with anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists to prepare for and assist with anesthesia procedures.

nnEquipment Preparation: Ensure that anesthesia equipment, including machines, monitors, and supplies, is properly set up and functioning optimally prior to procedures.
n
nnPatient Preparation: Assist in preparing patients and equipment for anesthesia administration, which may include positioning, securing monitoring devices, and providing comfort measures. Maintain privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.
n
nnMonitor Vital Signs: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and anesthesia equipment during procedures, promptly reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the anesthesia provider.
n
nnStock Management: Maintain an organized inventory of anesthesia supplies, including anesthesia carts, emergency airway carts and the anesthesia supply areas, ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage conditions.
n
nnEquipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment, following manufacturer guidelines and hospital protocols.
n
nnSterilization: Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize reusable anesthesia equipment according to established protocols, maintaining high standards of infection control.
n
nnDocumentation: Accurately document relevant information related to anesthesia procedures, including patient assessments, equipment checks, and supply usage.
n
nnTeam Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team, including surgeons, nurses, and surgical technologists, to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
n
nnCompliance: Adhere to all hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards related to anesthesia care and equipment usage. Participate in ongoing educational and competency verification activates applicable to anesthesia technician activities.

n nPhysical Tasks:
nnnAbility to lift and move equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
n
nnProlonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
n
nnDexterity to handle small instruments and equipment with precision.
n
nnStamina to work long shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
n
n nQualifications
nLicense or Certification:
nRequired: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
nRecommended:
nnnCertification as an Anesthesia Technician (Cer.A.T.) or Anesthesia Technologist (Cer.A.T.T.)
n
nnAdvanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
n
n nPerformance Standards:
nnnAdherence to hospital policies and procedures.
n
nnConsistent accuracy in equipment setup and maintenance.
n
nnTimeliness and efficiency in completing assigned tasks.
n
nnCommitment to continuing education and staying current with advancements in anesthesia technology.
n
n nUSD $18.00/Hr. USD $22.00/Hr.
