Job description
Anesthesia Technician
The Anesthesia Technician performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks to assist attending anesthesiologists, residents and nurse anesthetists in performing anesthetic procedures for patients ranging from infancy to geriatrics. Additionally, performs routine and delegated duties according to departmental policies.
Minimum Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Certified anesthesia technician (Cer.A.T.) preferred and may be required per state/contract
Medical or Science-based secondary education preferred
Graduate of an accredited program i.e. EMT, Paramedic, RT, or Anesthesia Technology (AT) program preferred
ACLS, EMT, Paramedic, RT, Medical, or prior HCA licensing preferred
Current CPR if applicable
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
