Responsibilities
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
Provide medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain during surgery and other procedures
Conduct pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtain and/or verify patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitor patient’s physiological condition
Perform clinical interventions as needed
Requirements
M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine
ECFMG and FLEX
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
Currently licensed as a physician
