As our Anesthesiologist, you will join a collegial and growing anesthesia team serving CHI Health Good Samaritan and Heartland Surgery Center in Kearney, Nebraska. This growth-driven opportunity is ideal for experienced physicians, new graduates, and visa candidates seeking a supportive, mentorship-focused environment with a strong family-oriented culture. You'll practice alongside an established team of five anesthesiologists in collaboration with an independent CRNA group at a regional referral center with academic affiliation through Creighton University School of Medicine.

Every day you will provide anesthesia care across a diverse range of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, urology, ENT, neuroscience, and optional cardiothoracic cases. You'll care for patients at a Level II Trauma Center supported by internal flight and EMS services while working alongside strong hospitalist, intensivist, and subspecialty physician teams. Where You'll Work

CHI Health Good Samaritan is a 200-bed, Level II Trauma Center and regional referral hub serving central and western Nebraska. As a tertiary care facility, Good Samaritan offers a broad range of specialty services and a highly collaborative medical staff dedicated to delivering exceptional patient-centered care. The hospital features a 24-bed open ICU with intensivist support, a strong hospitalist program and engaged subspecialists across cardiology, thoracic and vascular surgery, orthopedics, neurosurgery, and women’s services. Hospital-based medical transport services at Good Samaritan include AirCare—the state’s longest operating air medical provider, as well as ground 911 and long-distance ambulance services. Physicians benefit from advanced surgical capabilities, interventional cardiology, comprehensive diagnostic and imaging services, and a team-based culture that promotes clinical excellence and collegiality.

Through its academic partnerships with Creighton University School of Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center, providers have opportunities to engage in medical education and teaching. In addition, the upcoming UNMC Rural Health Education Building on the campus of University of Nebraska at Kearney further strengthens Kearney’s role as a growing hub for rural medical education and training — offering physicians meaningful academic involvement while practicing in a community-based setting.
