Position Overview – Long-term contract (through EOY)
Case Mix - Credentialing - Hours Info - Stipends - Other
General, ortho, OB, Pediatrics OB/healthy peds preferred - 60 days - 8, 10-hr shift No in-house call No Weekends No Weeknights OT not expected, but offered - Lodging: $137/day Car Rental: $275/week $15k completion bonus - # OR rooms: 10 CRNA-MD ratio: 3:1 MDs are not doing their own cases Charting system: iPro, paper records
Anesthesiologist - RESPONSIBILITIES (listed are included but not limited to)
Assist in the directing and coordinating of Activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Anesthesiologist - REQUIREMENTS
Current license to practice medicine in the state of Massachusetts.
Board Certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA) or the American Osteopathic Board of Anesthesiology. Board eligibility is also accepted.
Currently certified in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalent.
