Job description
Position
Anesthesiologist opening at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Pocono (formerly Pocono Medical Center) in East Stroudsburg, PA.
Location
East Stroudsburg, PA – scenic Pocono Mountains region.
Responsibilities
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
Provide medical management of patients rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Conduct pre‑anesthesia assessment
Obtain and/or verify patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
Induce, maintain, and manage emergence from anesthesia
Monitor patients’ physiological condition
Perform clinical interventions as needed
Qualifications
M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine
ECFMC and FLEX certification
Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
Current medical licensure
Compensation
Salary: $300 per hour.
