Position Requirements
We are currently seeking a night float anesthesiologist to join our growing anesthesia practice in Syracuse, NY. Our group provides anesthesia services at Crouse Health Hospital. Our anesthesiologists and CRNAs work together in a care team model. We offer a wide variety of anesthesia services including cardiac, major vascular, orthopedics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, general surgery, urology, and gynecology.

Responsibilities
Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
Pre‑anesthesia assessment
Obtain and/or verify patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitor the patient's physiological condition
Perform clinical interventions as needed
Requirements
Schedule: 26 weeks on, 26 weeks off (7 p‑7 a)
M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine
ECFMG and FLEX certification
Completion of an approved residency in anesthesia
Currently licensed as a physician
