Job description
Locums Cardiac Anesthesiology coverage in California with a high-acuity CT and structural heart case mix, plus the ability to structure coverage as full-time or partial-month.

Full-time or part-time coverage accepted, including partial-month schedules such as 2 weeks per month or a weekend of call
High-acuity cardiac anesthesia practice, including VADs, ECMO, and heart transplant, with optional liver transplant anesthesia
Strong in-room and perioperative support, including residents and fellows in the OR, robust anesthesia tech support, and experienced CRNAs in the cath lab
Post-call day provided after weekday call shifts
Practice Setting
Inpatient adult practice, ages 18+
Coverage spans cardiac OR and cath lab locations, including EP and structural heart
Typical weekday volume includes 2 to 4 cardiac surgery cases and 3 to 4 cardiac cath lab locations
Supervision model is 1:2 with residents and fellows
Schedule
Monday to Friday weekday coverage plus weekend call coverage needs
Home call with a 30-minute response time, weekend call included, flat weeknight call rate applies
Full-time need is about 18-20 shifts/month, variable shift durations
Part-time options available, including partial-month coverage and call-only weekend coverage
Cases and Procedures
Cardiac and non-cardiac anesthesia, including coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacement, and aortic reconstruction
EP and structural heart anesthesia, plus advanced perioperative TEE
Heart failure surgery support, including percutaneous and durable VAD management, ECMO, and heart transplant
Liver transplant anesthesia available on an optional basis
Requirements
Must be an MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology, BE within 5 years
Cardiac Anesthesiology experience profile, this service accepts Cardiac Anesthesiology candidates
California license required, will not wait for license
ACLS, BLS, and TEE certification required
