Locums - Memphis, Tennessee - Cardiac Anesthesiologist Job

Please ask about our generous referral fees!Locum tenens opportunitySeeking a board certified or truly board eligible cardiac anesthesiologist TEE certification requiredSix-month commitment with a 30-day notice requirementWork for a nationwide anesthesiology groupCoverage across multiple hospitals in the Memphis, Tennessee, area and Olive Branch, MississippiEMR: Cerner (transitioning to Epic) Schedule:Primarily Monday-FridayLimited weekend coverageFocus on 10-hour shiftsSome 12-hour shifts availableLimited 24-hour shiftsIn-house and beeper call available depending on service needsCall opportunities available but frequency varies based on scheduling needs Clinical Responsibilities:Comfortable supervising CRNAs approximately two-thirds of the time and performing personally administered anesthetics approximately one-third of the timePractice model varies by location and includes:1:00:11:11:21:31:4 Must be comfortable practicing independently and in a care team model Cases & Procedures:Cardiac anesthesia with TEETransplant anesthesiaNeuroanesthesia (cranial and spine)General surgeryOrthopedicsENTVascular surgeryUrologyGynecologyNon-Operating Room Anesthesia (NORA):GICardiac Cath LabInterventional RadiologyAdditional procedural areas Required Skills:Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)Epidural anesthesiaSpinal anesthesiaUltrasound-guided regional anesthesia including:Brachial plexus blocksFemoral/sciatic blocksAnkle blocksWrist blocksAdditional regional techniques Requirements:Board certified or truly board eligible in anesthesiologyFellowship training or significant experience in cardiac anesthesiaTEE certification requiredActive Tennessee medical license preferred (Mississippi license also highly desired)DEA requiredBLSACLSPALSMust provide 50 hospital-based anesthesia case logs from the most recent consecutive 12 monthsClean malpractice history required Credentialing:Approximately 60-90 day credentialing process for full privilegesLocums agency responsible for completing credentialing applicationsLocums agency responsible for obtaining required payor enrollment signaturesAllow RecruitWell to set up a phone call with you and the client to discuss more!
