Job description
Job Summary Trained to provide pain relief and maintenance or restoration of a stable condition during and immediately following an operation or an obstetric or diagnostic procedure. Also provides medical management and consultation in pain management and critical care medicine. Anesthesiologists diagnose and treat acute, longstanding and cancer pain problems; diagnose and treat patients with critical illnesses or severe injuries; perform direct resuscitation in the care of patients with cardiac or respiratory emergencies, including the need for artificial ventilation; and supervise post anesthesia recovery.Position works on a shift-based schedule and does not accrue PTO or CME days.

Clinical Practice Environment
Coverage includes nearly all case types, excluding heart/lung transplants and burn cases
Support for 13 non OR anesthesia locations, including:GI/Pulmonology
Cath/EP Lab
Interventional Radiology
Obstetrics
MRI
31 operating rooms
Designated Comprehensive Stroke Center
Physically connected to Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital
Additional subspecialty compensation available for Pediatric and Cardiac teams

Base Salary: $500,000
$560,000+ with experience
