Job description
The Anesthesiology Physician provides anesthesia care services to patients within the scope of their license. This role involves performing preoperative assessments, administering anesthesia, monitoring patients during surgery, conducting postoperative evaluations, and instructing patients and family members on anesthesia procedures and recovery options, as well as other duties as assigned.
nMinimum Requirements:
nnnGraduation for an accredited medical school as a Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO).
n
nnLicensed as an Anesthesiology Physician by the state in which the provider is practicing.
n
nnBoard Certification in Anesthesiology by a nationally accredited medical organization (e.g., American Board of Anesthesiology - ABA) is preferred unless required by contract.
n
nnSpecialty Certification as per client request and/or state regulations if applicable.
n
nnOne year of experience as an Anesthesiology Physician preferred.
n
nnRole may require collaboration with advanced practitioners per state/facility requirements.
n
nnCurrent CPR if applicable
n
nnTB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
n
nnCurrent Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
n
nnMust meet all federal, state and local requirements
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age
n
nnComplies with all relevant professional standards of practice under licensure and scope.
