Job Requirements M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited College of Medicine Board Certification or Fellowship in Anesthesiology (Board Eligible considered) Completion of an ACGME-approved Residency in Anesthesiology Current Virginia medical license or eligibility to obtain a Virginia license ECFMG / FLEX certification if applicable for IMG candidates Minimum 1 year of clinical anesthesia experience; prior locum tenens or community hospital experience preferred Key Responsibilities Provide perioperative anesthetic care for general surgery, orthopedic cases, and obstetric patients Perform pre-anesthesia assessments, obtain/verify informed consent, and develop individualized anesthetic plans Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia with continuous physiologic monitoring Manage obstetric anesthesia including labor analgesia and cesarean deliveries as needed Supervise and collaborate with CRNAs, coordinate workflows in multiple ORs, and direct departmental activities when assigned Document patient care accurately in Epic and communicate effectively with surgical teams Why Join This Locum Tenens Anesthesia Job Competitive weekly pay and predictable weekday schedule Wide variety of cases to maintain and expand clinical skills (general, ortho, OB) Collaborative anesthesia department with supportive CRNAs and physicians Work in a modern facility in the Richmond, VA area with strong community amenities Apply now to be considered for this locum tenens anesthesiologist position in Midlothian, VA.
