Anesthesiology Locums Job in Virginia 10-Hour Shifts 10/5/2026 - 10/4/2027 Assignment
Coverage Details
10/5/2026 - 10/4/2027
Credentialing timeframe: 45 days
Shift Details
10-hour shifts only, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Overtime offered but not expected
Required weeknight and weekend call responsibilities
Requirements
Board Certification required
Willing to accept candidates needing to obtain state license
ECFMG and FLEX
Required Procedures / Skills
General anesthesia
Orthopedic anesthesia
OB anesthesia
ENT anesthesia
Assignment Details
Site charting system: Epic
Number of anesthesia rooms: 10
MDs supervise CRNAs
MD to CRNA ratio: 1:3 and 1:4
MDs perform their own cases
Pre-anesthesia assessment
Obtain and/or verify patient consent
Discuss anesthetic options and risks with patients
Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
Monitoring of patient physiological condition
Performance of clinical interventions as needed
Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department
Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
