Job description
Position Overview A busy anesthesia group in the St. Louis metro area is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for locum coverage across both a hospital and affiliated ambulatory surgery center.
Practice Model Supervision Model (MD & CRNA)
Staffing Ratio: 2 MD : 9 APC
8 anesthetizing rooms
Average 29 cases per day
EMR: Epic
Schedule Day shifts: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
Call Structure Weeknight home call: 3:00 PM 7:00 AM
Weekend call: 24-hour coverage
CRNA support during call
Board Requirements ABA or AOBA
Board Certified
Required Qualifications Active or eligible Missouri medical license
Board Certified in Anesthesiology
Experience supervising CRNAs
Experience in both hospital and ambulatory surgery center environments
Preferred Qualifications Prior locum anesthesiology experience
Experience with Epic EMR
Experience managing high-volume anesthesia programs
Key Skills & Competencies General anesthesia administration
Regional anesthesia techniques
Peripheral nerve block procedures
Airway management
Surgical anesthesia planning and patient monitoring
Effective supervision of anesthesia care teams
Compensation & Benefits $320 $345 per hour
