Anesthesiologist Locums Needed Somerset, PA Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Estimated Commitment: 22 shifts per month
Start Date: To Be Determined EMR: Epic
WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist for an ongoing locum tenens opportunity in Somerset, Pennsylvania. This assignment offers a busy surgical environment with a collaborative anesthesia team, pediatric and regional anesthesia cases, and a combination of daytime coverage, weeknight call, and 24-hour weekend call.
Assignment Highlights Approximately 22 shifts per month
Full-time equivalent coverage need
Daytime hours: Monday Friday, 6:30 AM 3:30 PM or 6:30 AM 5:30 PM
Weeknight call: Monday Friday, 5:30 PM 7:00 AM
Weekend call: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM 7:00 AM (24-hour call)
Must be willing to take both weeknight and 24-hour weekend call
No OB coverage
Physician will work as part of a team and will not work solo
Epic EMR
Clinical Responsibilities Provide anesthesia services for scheduled surgical cases
Manage a busy first wave of daily cases
Provide pediatric anesthesia care
Perform regional anesthesia procedures
Participate in scheduled weeknight and 24-hour weekend call
Collaborate with the anesthesia team to support safe, efficient patient care
Requirements BC/BE in Anesthesiology
Active Pennsylvania medical license, or willingness to obtain one
Pennsylvania DEA
ACLS
Minimum 1 year of experience
Comfortable with pediatric anesthesia
Proficient in regional anesthesia
Comfortable working in a team-based anesthesia model
