Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist, Washington, Pennsylvania AvailabilityStart Date: November 9, 2026
Coverage Needed: At least 2 locum Anesthesiologists
Estimated Shifts: Approximately 23 shifts/month
Schedule: Monday-Friday, typically 6:30 AM-3:30 PM
Call: No call
Experience: 0 years minimum; new graduates may be considered
Solo Practice: Yes
LicensurePennsylvania medical license required to apply
IMLC candidates accepted
Active PA license or IMLC preferred
Candidates without an active license may also be considered
DEA required
CSR not required
CertificationsBoard Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Anesthesiology
PALS required
TEE certification not required
Additional certifications will be determined during credentialing
Clinical RequirementsCandidate must be comfortable with:
General Anesthesiology
Regional Anesthesia / Nerve Blocks
Supervising CRNAs
Working independently/solo
Pediatric cases
Orthopedic cases
Plastics
GI
ENT
Urology
Other ambulatory surgery cases
Regional Block ExperienceRegional block skills are required.
Candidate must be comfortable performing:
Pectoral blocks
Adductor canal blocks
Popliteal blocks
Upper-extremity blocks
Experience with regional anesthesia is particularly important due to the volume of orthopedic and plastics cases.
Practice DetailsAmbulatory surgery setting
Approximately 12 ORs at the primary location
Primarily a CRNA supervision role
APP/mid-level coverage available
One Anesthesiologist may cover the secondary surgery center each day
If no cases are scheduled at the secondary location, the physician returns to the primary location
Majority of shifts will be at the primary location
Physician must be able to cover both locations as needed
No call at the secondary surgery center
Typical Case MixGI: 25% and increasing
Urology: 27%
Plastics: 16%
Orthopedics: 13%
ENT: 8%
Pain: 7%
Podiatry: 2%
General: 2%

Additional NotesPhysicians must be comfortable supervising CRNAs
With the high volume of GI cases, physicians may run up to 4 rooms with 1 Anesthesiologist
Strong regional anesthesia skills are essential
Candidate may be moved between locations based on case volume and operating schedule
