Anesthesiology Medical Director Opening Outside of Baton Rouge, LAFull TimePermanent PositionSeeking BC/BE Anesthesiologist to serve as Medical Director of Anesthesiology in Zachary, Louisiana, just north of Baton RougePosition Highlights:- Leadership opportunity combining clinical practice and administrative responsibilities- Non-call position with optional beeper call from home for additional compensation- Clinical responsibilities 4-5 days per week- Personally perform cases approximately 2 days per week- Partner with CRNAs, surgeons, and hospital leadership to support and grow anesthesia services- Lead the transition to a collaborative anesthesia care team model- Opportunity to develop a flexible practice model including: - Independent CRNA practice - Non-medically directed supervision - Personally performed physician anesthesia cases- Modern surgical department with 5-6 anesthetizing locations- Broad case mix including: - General Surgery - Orthopedics - Gastroenterology - OB/GYN - Bariatric Surgery - Endoscopy - Cardiac Catheterization LabLeadership Responsibilities:- Provide strategic oversight of anesthesia services- Collaborate with hospital administration and surgical leadership- Support quality improvement and patient safety initiatives- Assist with provider recruitment, retention, and team development- Lead operational growth and service line expansion efforts- Facilitate implementation of collaborative anesthesia care modelsClinical Responsibilities:- Provide anesthesia care across multiple surgical specialties- Participate in perioperative patient management- Collaborate with CRNAs and multidisciplinary care teams- Maintain high standards of clinical quality and patient safety- Deliver patient-centered anesthesia careQualifications:- MD or DO- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Anesthesiology- Eligible for Louisiana medical licensure- Leadership experience preferred- Interest in anesthesia practice development and team leadershipCompensation & Benefits:- Minimum: $475,000 / Max: $558,000+- $100,000 sign-on bonus- Competitive compensation package- Annual Medical Director stipend- Performance bonus opportunities- Optional beeper call compensation- 9 weeks of paid time off- Relocation assistance- Medical, dental, and vision insurance- Life and disability insurance- 401(k) retirement plan- Health Savings Account (HSA)- Flexible Spending Account (FSA)- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)- Paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage- Unlimited ASA-approved CME through TeamHealth Institute- Leadership development programs including LEAD and National Medical Leadership Conference- Clinician referral bonus programCommunity Highlights:- Located in Zachary, Louisiana, just north of Baton Rouge- One of Louisiana's highest-rated communities for families- Excellent schools and affordable housing- Easy access to Baton Rouge dining, entertainment, and cultural attractions- Strong quality of life with a welcoming community atmosphere
