Job description
Animal Science TechnicianWe are seeking a dependable Animal Science Technician to support the care of laboratory rodents.Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am to 4:30pm, including occasional weekend workPay Rate: $45-50/hourResponsibilities:Perform routine rodent procedures, especially accurate and humane substance dosing.Handle and restrain rodents safely.Monitor animals for signs of illness, injury, or distress.Document procedures and observations accurately.Follow approved protocols, SOPs, and animal-welfare requirements.Promptly report health concerns, protocol deviations, or unexpected events.Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked work areas.Assist with other rodent-care activities as assigned.Qualifications:Hands-on experience with rodent dosing procedures.Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.Ability to work independently and follow written protocols.Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification preferred.
