Antitrust is one of the few practices where the same associate can be on a Second Request in March, a cartel investigation in June, and a Section 7 trial by fall — and DC is where every one of those matters ultimately gets decided.

A Global 100 firm with a top-ranked global antitrust and competition practice is hiring a junior-to-mid-level antitrust associate (2–5 years) in Washington, DC. Cravath scale — $235K–$365K depending on class year.
You'd join a US team that has been growing steadily on the strength of multinational clients, working directly with partners on merger clearance, conduct investigations, and antitrust litigation across a practice with a bench in every major enforcement jurisdiction.
The work includes:
Merger control — HSR filings, Second Requests, and clearance strategy before the DOJ and FTC
Cartel defense and civil conduct investigations, including leniency and multi-jurisdiction coordination
Antitrust litigation, both government enforcement actions and private class actions under the Sherman and Clayton Acts
Counseling on distribution, pricing, joint ventures, and information-sharing
What you bring:
2–5 years of antitrust experience at a firm or in government (DOJ Antitrust Division, FTC Bureau of Competition)
Familiarity with the HSR Act, its implementing rules, and the agency review process
Strong writing and advocacy skills before regulators xzgxqkn
DC bar admission or eligibility to waive in; federal clerkship a plus
