AP Accounting ClerkPosition Overview: This role supports the Accounts Payable function by processing invoices, resolving discrepancies, maintaining documentation, and ensuring timely, accurate payments. It also assists with period-end close activities, audits, and various accounting projects as needed.Your Day to Day as an AP Accounting Clerk: Accounts Payable duties include reviewing invoices for appropriate documentation and approvals in accordance with payment terms, prior to payment. Scan invoices into A/P automation tool/Process 3-way P.O. match invoices. Respond to employee and vendor inquiries, research and correct discrepancies. Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices. Assist in month, quarter and year-end closing. Assist with internal and external audit in relation to Accounts Payable audit requests. Assist with other accounting projects as needed.Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or related field. Minimum 2 years' experience in A/P. Related experience may be considered. Must have a strong work ethic. Must be well organized and able to follow standard procedures. Proficient in Excel, Word, AP Automation Tools. Strong problem solving skills, basic accounting principles knowledge, documentation skills, research and resolution skills. Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Must be a U.S. citizen.
