nAs an Aircraft Engine Mechanic II atStandardAero’s Houston MRO facility (IAH), you will put your skills and powerplant expertise to use performing overhauls, major inspections, and heavy maintenance on Honeywell TFE731 and CFE738 turbofan engines.
nWhat You'll Do:
nnUtilize precision instruments such as micrometers, torque wrenches, and calipers to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair engines and APUs
nNavigate, research, and reference technical digital documents, OEM Light and Heavy Maintenance manuals.
nPerform routine maintenance and major inspections on Honeywell turbofan engines.
nDisassemble and re-assemble engines, adhering to OEM technical manual specifications.
nRemove and reinstall engines on aircraft for major periodic inspections and core zone inspections.
nPerform incoming and outgoing engine runs and line maintenance, as required.
nEvaluates removed components for serviceability and document discrepancies.
nDocument all work accomplished in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
nAccomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters and Airworthiness Directives.
nParticipate in ongoing training initiatives on and off site through partners like CAE, FlightSafety, and Honeywell.
n nPosition Requirements:
nnMinimum of 3 year of experience performing heavy maintenance on turbine engines.
nMinimum 1 year of experience working in an engine overhaul, military depot, or MRO environment.
nMust have a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant License.
nMust be authorized to work in the United States, without sponsorship.
nHigh School diploma or GED equivalent.
n nPreferred Characteristics:
nn Experience inspecting, maintaining and repairing turbofan engines.
n Experience working on the Honeywell CFE738 or TFE731 engine lines.
n Engine Run & Taxi Certifications on various corporate aircraft models.
n Experience working in a Test Cell environment.
