Location: 100% Remote (U.S.)
Position Type: Full-time, Direct W2
Salary Range: $100,000–$150,000 Annually

Job Summary
We are seeking an experiencedMuleSoftIntegration Engineer to design, build, andoperateenterprise integration solutions on theMuleSoftAnypointPlatform. In this role you will own the integration lifecycle, including API design, flow development, deployment, observability, and ongoing optimization. The ideal candidate will combine deep hands-onMuleSoftexperience with strong API-led connectivity practices, and will partner with enterprise architects, application teams, and integration partners to deliver reliable, secure, and reusable integration assets. In this role you will work closely with cross-functional partners — product, design, engineering, operations, and business stakeholders — to translate ambiguous requirements into well-engineeredsolutions, andwill be expected to raise the bar through code review, design review, and mentorship of more junior engineers. The successful candidate brings strong engineering discipline, a clear communication style, anda track recordof shipping meaningful work that holds up well in production.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop integration flows inMuleSoftAnypointStudio, includingDataWeavetransformations, error handling, and reusable connectors.
Apply API-led connectivity (System, Process, Experience APIs) to deliver reusable, composable integration assets.
Design and publish well-documented APIs using API Designer and theAnypointExchange.
Configure and manage runtimes (CloudHub, Runtime Fabric, Hybrid)appropriate toworkload requirements.
Implement strong API security using OAuth2,mTLS, JWT, andAnypointAPI Manager policies.
Build event-driven integrations usingAnypointMQ, Salesforce Platform Events, or Kafka.
Optimizeintegration performance, including pooling, caching, parallel processing, and message size management.
Build CI/CD pipelines forMuleSoftapplications using Maven,AnypointCLI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
Migrate legacy integrations from other middleware (Oracle SOA, BizTalk) to MuleSoft.
Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting usingAnypointMonitoring and external observability tools.
Maintain comprehensive, current technical documentation — including architecture diagrams, design decisions, configuration references, runbooks, and operational procedures — so that the systemremainssupportable, auditable, and easy to onboard new engineers onto over time.
Mentor junior developers and contribute to internal integration patterns and standards.Collaborate closely with security, enterprise architecture, and application development teams, gathering requirements, aligning on technical approach, and ensuring that delivered solutions meet both functional needs and broader engineering and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, ora relatedtechnical discipline.
Five or more years of integration experience withstrongfocus onMuleSoftAnypointPlatform.
Strong hands-on experience withAnypointStudio,DataWeave, and Mule runtime.
Solid understanding of API-led connectivity and RAML/OAS API design.
Hands-on experience withCloudHub, Runtime Fabric, or Hybrid deployment.
Experience with API security standards (OAuth2,mTLS, JWT) andAnypointAPI Manager.
Working knowledge of CI/CD for MuleSoft.
Familiarity with event-driven integration usingAnypointMQ or Kafka.
Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
Experience integrating with major SaaS platforms (Salesforce, SAP, Workday, ServiceNow).
Preferred Qualifications
MuleSoftCertified Developer or Architect credentials.
Exposure tomulti-cloud deployment of Mule runtimes.
Familiarity with FinOps and integration cost management.
Experience implementing zero-trust API security models.
Working knowledge of GraphQL APIs onAnypointPlatform.
