Job description
Title
Bronson Family Medicine – Stadium – Kalamazoo, Michigan – Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive, problem‑focused histories and physical examinations for outpatients.
Order, interpret, and correlate laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies.
Under physician direction, review findings and develop individualized treatment plans within scope of practice.
Document patient encounters, orders, progress notes, and billing documentation accurately.
Coordinate patient care with the multidisciplinary team, including ambulatory care manager, clinical pharmacy, social worker, and nurse triage.
Assist with utilization review, including admission assessments and discharge planning.
Act as a clinical resource for the team, providing training and support for quality metrics and evidence‑based practices.
Maintain high standards of patient‑centered, compassionate care.
Qualifications
Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program – successful completion.
Current, unrestricted or pending licensure in the state of Michigan.
DEA license to prescribe medications.
Prescriptive authority and collaborative agreement with an overseeing physician.
Commitment to providing compassionate, quality patient‑centered care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong teamwork and commitment to a collaborative practice environment.
