Title: APP (NP or PA) – Family Medicine – Float – NRV (Open)
Role Description
This position is part of the New River Valley Resource Pool and covers NRV, Roanoke, Giles, Salem, Hillsville, Wytheville, Galax, and Tazewell clinics. The role includes precepting PA and NP students from partnering programs after at least one year of experience in Family and Community Medicine.
Responsibilities
Provide family and community medicine care in the assigned clinics.
Precept PA and NP students from partnering programs.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Current state Licensed Nurse Practitioner (LNP), DEA license, and Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
AHA BLS-HCP certification required; Advanced Life Support certification preferred.
Eligible for prescriptive authority in accordance with state regulations.
Minimum one year experience in Family and Community Medicine.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Computer literacy for electronic medical record systems.
