Application And Sales EngineerPulva Corporation is seeking an Application and Sales Engineer who combines mechanical engineering expertise with strong sales acumen and customer-facing skills. You'll serve as the technical expert who drives the sales process — from initial customer contact through proposal and quote — while supporting engineering execution on won projects.This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys both technical problem-solving and building customer relationships that drive business growth.Primary ResponsibilitiesSales & Customer DevelopmentServe as first point of contact for incoming inquiries; qualify leads to determine customer requirements, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority.Generate business proposals with sales drawings, technical documentation, and pricing.Create quotes — including costing of material, labor hours, and commercial terms.Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations for prospective clients.Partner with Sales to deliver solutions that meet customer needs and close business.Maintain an active pipeline of opportunities; follow up on proposals to drive purchasing decisions.Engineering & Technical SupportPrepare preliminary mechanical designs, calculations, and layout drawings to support quotes and proposals.Generate Bills of Material (BOMs) — single-level and multi-level structures.Design equipment, components, and assemblies using SolidWorks; create and maintain engineering documentation.Evaluate customer applications and recommend equipment solutions.Lead project kick-offs and coordinate with Manufacturing to ensure designs are practical and cost-effective.Provide aftermarket engineering support including installation, troubleshooting, and spare parts.Process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and support continuous product improvement.Support Manufacturing throughout the build processTravel approximately 10–15% to customer sites, trade shows, or equipment testing.QualificationsRequired — EngineeringBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology3+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial equipmentProficiency with SolidWorks (AutoCAD and ERP experience a plus)Experience generating Bills of Material (single-level and multi-level structures)Preferred — Sales2+ years in a customer-facing, quote-driven, or business-development roleExperience creating business proposals with sales drawings and technical documentationExperience generating quotes including costing of material and labor hoursStrong closing and negotiation instincts; self-motivated and goal-orientedComfortable interfacing directly with customers — site visits, presentations, product demonstrationsAbility to translate technical features into customer value and ROIGeneralExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating across departmentsWhy Join Pulva?For more than 85 years, Pulva Corporation has designed and manufactured high-quality size reduction equipment for customers around the world.
