Role Overview
Apply advanced analytics, experimentation, and machine learning expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role focuses on producing high-quality, real-world inputs that improve how models learn, reason, and perform. Prior AI experience is not required; strong applied scientific and data science expertise is central to the work.
Key Responsibilities
Design and execute statistical analyses that uncover actionable insights from complex datasets.
Develop, validate, tune, and evaluate machine learning models for business or research objectives.
Apply data-modeling methods and manage large-scale data transformations with Python and Pandas.
Work with stakeholders to establish experimentation frameworks and analyze results.
Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations clearly and precisely.
Review peer contributions and provide high-quality feedback that supports knowledge sharing.
Deliver reproducible code and well-organized analytical reports.
Evaluate AI model responses to statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and quantitative problems.
Create expert-level prompts, datasets, and reference solutions.
Identify flawed methodologies, statistical errors, and weak quantitative reasoning, then provide structured feedback to improve model capability.
Qualifications
Strong Python skills, including Pandas and scikit-learn.
Experience with machine learning, applied statistics, data analysis, experimental design, and data modeling.
Demonstrated ability to build, tune, and assess machine learning models in practical settings.
Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to clear technical documentation.
At least one year of experience at a leading technology, finance, or research organization is preferred.
Experience contributing to open or cross-functional data science projects is a plus.
An advanced academic background or practical experience in data science, applied mathematics, or a related field is preferred.
Work Terms
Remote contract engagement.
Work is part of an open data science project with an emphasis on clear written and verbal communication.
Compensation
$245 to $280 per hour.
