Role Overview
Apply advanced analytics, experimentation, and machine learning expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. This remote contract role supports a data-driven project through high-quality, real-world quantitative input, with no prior AI experience required.
Key Responsibilities
Design and conduct statistical analyses that produce actionable insights from complex datasets.
Develop, validate, tune, and evaluate machine learning models for business or research objectives.
Use Python and Pandas for data modeling, large-scale transformations, and analysis of structured and unstructured data.
Work with stakeholders to define experimentation frameworks and assess results.
Document methods, findings, and recommendations clearly and precisely.
Review peer contributions and provide constructive, high-quality feedback.
Deliver reproducible code and organized analytical reports.
Evaluate AI outputs involving statistics, machine learning, experimentation, and quantitative reasoning.
Create expert prompts, datasets, and reference solutions, and identify statistical errors, flawed methodologies, and weak quantitative reasoning.
Qualifications
Strong Python skills, including Pandas and scikit-learn.
Experience in machine learning, applied statistics, data analysis, experimental design, and data modeling.
Demonstrated ability to build and assess machine learning models in practical settings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a commitment to clear technical documentation.
At least one year of experience at a leading technology, finance, or research organization is preferred.
Experience collaborating on open or cross-functional data science projects is a plus.
Advanced academic study or hands-on experience in data science, applied mathematics, or a related discipline is preferred.
Work Terms
Remote independent-contractor engagement.
Work is part of an open data science project with an emphasis on clear written and verbal communication.
Compensation
$245 to $280 per hour.
