Job description
Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory (APL) seeks an Applied Signal Processing and AI/ML Engineer to develop advanced algorithms for national security, space, and health missions. In this role, you will design and implement digital signal processing pipelines and machine learning models for complex sensor, radar, RF, acoustic, or imagery data. You will prototype in Python, C++, or MATLAB; analyze large, noisy datasets; and transition research concepts toward operational systems. Working with multidisciplinary experts, you’ll tackle challenging real-world problems in a collaborative, mission-driven, and intellectually curious culture with strong support for research, innovation, and professional growth.
