Appointment Coordinator | Medical Call Center SpecialistRosebud, MO $32,099 - $42,099 a yearJoin a dynamic healthcare call center team dedicated to enhancing patient experience and operational efficiency in the Midwest region. This full-time, day shift role involves scheduling patient appointments, supporting training initiatives, and maintaining accurate contact information. You will play a key role in patient communication by making next-day appointment reminder calls and assisting with account balance discussions to support the medical business office.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport call center operations to boost patient satisfaction and appointment volume through excellent customer service and technology use.Project a professional and positive image during all phone interactions, handling distressed callers with patience and empathy.Resolve patient concerns by identifying issues, explaining solutions, and escalating complex matters to management when necessary.Contribute to team goals by completing related tasks and continuously updating job knowledge through educational opportunities.Maintain office equipment functionality by following procedures and reporting malfunctions promptly.EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required. Preferred candidates will have graduated from an accredited medical receptionist or similar program or possess two years of experience in healthcare or customer service.ExperienceAt least two years of experience in a general medical office or call center environment is required. Clinic experience is a plus.CertificationsMedical secretary or other medical technician/specialist certification from an accredited program is preferred.Physical and Mental RequirementsAbility to communicate detailed information clearly, maintain focus in a busy contact center, and possess strong computer skills including a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm. Knowledge of medical terminology and scheduling is advantageous. Occasionally lifting items up to 10 pounds and safe operation of a vehicle are required.Work EnvironmentTypical call center setting working closely with patients, providers, and clinical and support staff in a regional healthcare system serving the Midwest.
