Our experts primarily work with contractors, building owners, property managers, and facilities directors to design and implement reliable life safety solutions.Job Skills / RequirementsThe purpose of this position is to learn and assist with the service, test and repair of electronic life safety systems including Fire and Burglar Alarms, along with clean agent systems and CO2 suppression systems in commercial and industrial environments and to provide excellent customer service to our clients.Starting pay is $18 with increases based on licensing and experience.Why you should work here:Wages are based on skill level and experienceYou are able to earn more money based on individual drive and willingness to learn new tasks and earn certificationsCompany vehicle and cell phone providedCompetitive benefits!What you'll be doing:Perform fire protection inspections and preventive maintenance services on client fire alarm systemsCommunicate effective and organized technical information and support to clientsComplete and submit all required task-related, activity, productivity, and other documentation in a timely mannerBe proficient at and train other less senior inspectors how to follow and maintain a highly structured inspection scheduleMaintain a positive work atmosphere by interacting with the Midwest Alarm Services internal/external customers (including, but not limited to: current customers, prospective customers, clients, vendors, co-workers, supervisors and management) in a mutually respectful manner regardless of race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation and all other protected classesAs this position develops, the employee may be assigned additional duties or special projects as deemed necessary by managementOther duties as assigned and pertinent to the positionWhat you'll need:Must be able to obtain a specified license to perform work in the security industry according to the rules and regulations prescribed by the State in which the branch operatesValid driver's license and submit to pre-employment background checksObtain NICET level certification within a prescribed time frameHigh school diploma or GEDPrevious experience in inspections and fire alarm systems is an assetA strong knowledge of fire and electrical codes to ensure safe and proper inspection of systems and devicesTo be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; write routine reports and correspondenceTo be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situationsStrong computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel are requiredMust possess the values important to Midwest Alarm Services – Integrity, Communication, Excellent Service, and AccountabilityEducation Requirements (All)High School Diploma/GEDAdditional Information / BenefitsBenefits: Medical Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays, 401K/403b Plan, Educational AssistanceThis job reports to the Operations ManagerThis is a Full-Time position 1st Shift.Number of Openings for this position: 1
