Apprentice Plumber (2–3 Years Experience)Location: Texas Employment Type: Full-Time Reports To: Licensed Journeyman or Master PlumberPay: $20-$24Position SummaryThe Apprentice Plumber (2–3 Years Experience) performs skilled plumbing work under the supervision of a licensed Journeyman or Master Plumber in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role is designed for a developing tradesperson who is actively registered with the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners and has gained solid field experience. The Apprentice is expected to work with increasing independence while maintaining strict compliance with Texas plumbing codes and safety regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist in and independently perform installation of water, sanitary, and gas piping systemsInstall and replace plumbing fixtures, valves, and water heatersRough-in plumbing systems for new construction and remodeling projectsInterpret blueprints, specifications, and plumbing schematicsPerform basic troubleshooting and assist in diagnosing system failuresConduct pressure testing and system inspections under supervisionEnsure compliance with state and local plumbing codesMaintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials usedMentor and support entry-level apprentices when appropriateMaintain clean, safe, and organized job sitesQualifications2–3 years of hands-on plumbing experienceActive Apprentice Plumber License with the Texas State Board of Plumbing ExaminersWorking knowledge of plumbing codes, materials, and installation standardsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawingsProficiency using hand and power toolsValid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving recordAbility to lift 50+ pounds and work in confined spaces, heights, and varying weather conditionsSkills & CompetenciesStrong technical aptitudeAbility to work with limited supervisionSolid problem-solving skillsEffective communication and teamwork abilitiesCommitment to safety and high-quality workmanshipTime management and reliabilityWork EnvironmentWork is performed at residential, commercial, and industrial job sites.
