Summary of Job Duties:
An APRN/PA in a Emergency Department/CDU provides advanced clinical care to patients who require observation (typically 6-24 hours) for further testing, monitoring, or treatment after an Emergency Department visit.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: Master's Degree in nursing or Physican Assistant license
Minimum of two years APP experience in an acute care setting, -OR- recently licensed APP with 5 years' experience in an acute care setting as an RN.
Licensed Registered Nurse in Arkansas; APP/CPN License. Current BLS and ACLS certification or must successfully obtain certification within the first 30 days of employment.
Special knowledge, abilities and skills: Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e., scales, procedure equipment, needles, blood pressure equipment, and EKG machines).
Must have normal communication sensory requirement.
Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated.
